Project Overview

The Blog Management System is a robust RESTful API designed to create, manage, and organize blogs. Built with Node.js, Express, and Mongoose this application simplifies the process of managing blog content for authors and administrators.

How to run the project locally

STEP 1: Clone the Repository

   git clone <repository-url>
   cd <repository-folder>

STEP 2: Install all packge which helps to run the project

    npm install

STEP 3: Create a .env file in the project root and add the following variables

    PORT=5000
    DATABASE_URL=YOUR_DATABASE_URL
    JWT_ACCESS_SECRET=YOUR_ACCESS_SECRET
    JWT_REFRESH_SECRET=YOUR_REFRESH_SECRET
    JWT_ACCESS_EXPIRY=1h
    JWT_REFRESH_EXPIRY=7d

STEP 4: Start the server with the following command

    npm run dev

The project should run on the port you set locally on your .env file.
