Summary

This application seems to lack locale detection, at least on Linux.

This has lead to confusion in the past as to if English is even an option (see #717.) I would argue that for practical reasons, after fumbling around for a few minutes, it still is not.

Ideally, this application should be able to detect the locale from the LANG environment variable at runtime, or use an API that supports automatic locale detection.

Failing that, an internationally recognized symbol (such as this) for setting the interface's locale should be accessible from the main window.
