Agenda

This call is intended to help you learn new concepts about Bitcoin, Lightning, and design. The general format will be to focus on a specific topic or read-through a document together and discuss (like a chapter of the Design Guide, or something that will help us learn about Bitcoin and Lightning).

The topic for this call is more Lightning. We'll be discussing questions like:

  • What is the best way to think about payment channels?
    • Does a merchant need to close their channels to "collect" their money?
  • What is the difference between a Lightning node and a Bitcoin node?
  • Payment Request Formats
    • BOLT 11
    • BOLT 12
    • Keysend
    • Etc.
  • Maybe chat a little about LSPs if there's time
